How to get from Krakow Airport to City Centre?

Transport from the airport to the city center at first may seem impossible for someone from a foreign country. It is very easy! There are many options to choose from. Here are a few of them:

  • Bus

The bus is the first and cheapest option to travel from the airport to Krakow. After leaving the building, you will immediately see the stop, so you won’t have to worry about finding it. In addition, there are vending machines at the bus stop (and on the bus) where you can buy tickets. Most of the machines are pre-paid, but it’s still worth having a few Polish coins with you. The journey to the city center takes between 40-45 minutes. The bus is a good choice if your hotel is in the city center or near a stop along the way. The cost is around 1.5 euros.

  • Train

It is a very convenient means of transport. Runs every 30 minutes or 1 hour. It reaches the very center of the city (Train Station, Old Town). The cost is around 3 euros. The train journey will take approximately 20 minutes.

Taxis are another option that you can use. Krakow Airport Taxis are always waiting for customers at the airport. If you want, you can also order a taxi yourself, for example via an application on your phone. The price will of course vary as there is a lot of competition between companies. Usually it is around 15-25 euro. Travel time to the center takes about 30 minutes.

Airport transfer (more comfortable)

If you are looking for comfortable and reliable transport, you can order a transfer from the airport to your hotel in advance (even 24 hours before departure). Your driver will be waiting for you as he knows your flight number. In addition, you can easily contact him. It is a good choice if you want to be sure that you reach your destination without problems or if you are traveling with your family, for example.
