Discover the secrets of Wawel, visit its two most important places! Take a look at the memories of Wawel’s splendor and listen to the wonderful stories of the medieval castle told by an official Wawel guide during a tour of the Private Apartments, Wawel Cathedral, Underground Crypts and the Sigismund Bell.
The exhibition consists of the king and queen’s private chambers and court rooms, often converted into guest rooms. During the tour, you will admire 16th-century wooden ceilings, stone windows, portals and fantastic tapestries. In the north-eastern part of the building, the oldest part of the castle, there are Royal apartments with a bedroom. During your visit, you will pass through the beautiful columned hall, which served as the king’s private dining room in the 16th century. Today in the hall you can see portraits and statues of Polish kings. During the tour you will also visit “Kurza Stopka”.
Discover the amazing and beautiful Cathedral. Huge chapels, majestic gilding. Descend into underground crypts, discover hidden tombs. It’s an amazing experience when you discover mysterious sarcophagi.
You will also climb the Bell Tower and see the Sigismund Bell, from where there is an amazing view of the panorama of Krakow.
